Project progress tracking lets you keep a record of your build as you go: photos, notes, materials and status. When you share the project to the Easel Gallery, everything you've collected goes with it, so other makers can see how you made it.
Opening the Project Overview
Below the design editor, click your project's card (1) under Project Overview, to the left of your workpieces.
The Project Overview
1. Status
Set where your project is, for example In Progress.
2. Description
Describe what you're making.
3. Materials
List the materials you used.
4. Build notes
Keep notes as you go, such as bits, feeds and speeds, problems you ran into and finishing steps.
5. Build photos
Click Add photo to add photos of your build. The first photo is used as the cover photo. Click the × on a photo to remove it.
6. Sharing
Choose who can see your project, such as Shared to the Gallery. Click Copy to copy the project's link. See Publishing and Sharing Projects in Easel.
7. Ready to share
A checklist of what your project needs before you share it: a description, a cover photo, materials and a finished photo. The bar underneath shows how close you are.
Adding photos after a carve
When a carve finishes, the Carve complete screen lets you add a photo of the result right away under Add build photos (1). This is a good way to keep track of how new or changed cut settings turned out.
Adding photos from your phone
When you share a project to the Easel Gallery, you can send photos straight from your phone, without emailing or transferring them to your computer first.
On your computer
- In the Share window, click Add images (1).
- Scan the QR code under Scan with your phone (2) with your phone's camera. If you can't scan it, click Copy link instead (3) and open the link on your phone.
On your phone
- Tap Take or choose photos (4) to take a new photo or choose ones from your library. Each photo can be up to 10 MB.
- Tap Send to computer (5).
The photos appear under Images in the Share window on your computer, where you can choose the featured photo or remove photos before you publish.
| Important: The QR code and link expire after 1 hour. If yours has expired, click Add images again to get a new one. |
