Wireframe Mode shows each shape in the 2D editor as a thin outline, so you can see its exact geometry without the filled shapes getting in the way.
Turning Wireframe Mode on and off
Click the Wireframe button (1) in the bottom-right corner of the 2D editor. Click it again to go back to the normal view.
When to use it
- Busy designs: shapes at similar depths are easier to tell apart.
- Overlapping shapes: two overlapping shapes at the same depth blend together in the normal view, but each outline shows clearly in wireframe.
- Placing text: it's easier to line up text with the shapes underneath it.
- Measuring: it works well with the Measurement Tool, for example when you add a backing pocket behind text.
