Using the Outline Bit in Easel
The Outline Bit feature allows you to add a third bit to your carving specifically for outline vector toolpaths.
Previously, Easel always used your detail bit for outline cuts — including final cutouts — even if that bit was a small V-bit or a 1/32" bit. This often caused slow carves, broken bits, or required complex workarounds.
With the Outline Bit, you can:
Select a separate, sturdier bit (like a 1/8" or 1/4" end mill) just for outlines.
Avoid duplicating workpieces or manually hiding shapes.
Run your entire carve with three distinct toolpaths: Roughing, Detail, and Outline.
Cut out your design more efficiently and reliably.

| Helpful Tip: For best results, choose a robust bit such as a 1/8" or 1/4" end mill for your Outline Pass. |
