The Dice Tray App lets you design a dice box in a few clicks. It lays out a tray and a matching lid to store your dice.
Opening the Dice Tray App
Click the Apps icon (1) in the left toolbar, then choose Dice Tray (2). You can also find it under More Apps in the App Library, in the Generators category.
Designing your dice tray
1. Choose a pocket style
- Hexagon: A separate pocket for each die.
- Shared well: One long pocket that holds your dice in a single row.
2. Set the dice size
Measure your largest die and adjust the dimensions to fit it. If you're using standard D&D dice, the default settings will fit.
3. Add hinges or magnets (optional)
Turn on Hinges and/or Magnets to cut pockets for hardware. Enter the measurements of the actual hardware you'll be using so the pockets fit.
4. Check the preview
Review the tray and lid layout in the preview before you continue.
5. Generate the design
When you're happy with the preview, click Generate to add the tray and lid to your project.
| Important: Before you carve, double-check your hardware against the measurement lines Easel adds to the design. Pockets that don't match your hinges or magnets won't fit. |
