With Easel Pro, you can choose the milling direction for each bit. It applies to both fills and outlines.
- Open the Bit menu.
- Under Toolpaths, click Milling direction (1).
- Choose an option (2).
Milling direction options
- Default: the cut direction varies.
- Climb: carves counter-clockwise. This usually gives a cleaner finish and is easier on your bits.
- Conventional: carves clockwise. This can help prevent tear-out in some materials and reduce backlash.
