Instead of describing a change in words, you can make it in the design and send it as a suggestion. Your classmate can preview your changes and decide whether to apply them. Their project doesn't change unless they do.
Send a suggestion
- Open a project a classmate has shared with your class, from the Class Feed or your class gallery.
- Make your changes on the canvas. For example, select a shape and change its size in the panel that appears.
- If the discussion panel isn't open, select the people icon at the top right of the screen. A note appears above the comment box: 1 edit ready to suggest. It lists how many workpieces and shapes you changed.
- Type a short message explaining your idea.
- Make sure Include is checked, then select Send.
Your comment appears in the discussion with a Suggested edit tag. Your classmate gets to preview it, then apply or decline it.
Send a comment without your changes
Uncheck Include, and your message is sent as a regular comment. A suggestion carries your design changes, not images, so if you attach a picture, Easel asks you to uncheck Include.
When a classmate or your teacher suggests changes to your project, you can preview them in your design before deciding. Nothing changes in your project unless you apply the suggestion.
Find a suggestion
Suggestions appear in your project's discussion as a comment with a Suggested edit tag. You'll also see them in the Class Feed.
- Open your project in Easel.
- If the discussion panel isn't open, select the people icon at the top right of the screen.
- Look for a comment with a Suggested edit tag.
Preview and decide
- Select Suggested edit on the comment. Easel shows your design with their changes, and a bar at the top reads Previewing [name]'s suggestions.
- Turn on Highlight changes to see exactly what's different.
- Choose what to do:
- Apply adds the changes to your project.
- Decline turns the suggestion down.
- Exit preview goes back to your design without deciding yet.
When you apply a suggestion, the person who sent it gets a notification.
