We are currently offering individual Easel Pro licenses to accounts that meet the following criteria
- An active Easel account created with a valid school-affiliated or educational organization email address (can receive emails for validation and security)
- The owner/user is a current teacher or staff member at a K-12 school, university, library, public makerspace, or other nonprofit educational organization
Approved accounts include one year of free Easel Pro access from the date of approval. When your access period ends, you will see an expiration notice in your Easel account. You may reapply for continued access by submitting a new application.
We ask that you fill out the following application: Easel Pro For Educators Application. Please answer each question truthfully and as thoroughly as possible.
Important Note About Email Verifications
- Easel requires all users to complete an email verification. If you access email through an institution or organization, you may need to request that your IT department allowlist "easel.com" in order to receive your account verification email.
- If you are an educator and would like to set up automatic verification of your student accounts, please contact our customer success team at help@easel.com.
Application Timeline
Please allow several business days for your application to be reviewed. You will not receive a confirmation email; instead, your approval status will appear directly in your Easel account.
Once approved, you’ll see this message in your Easel Account tab:
You have Easel Pro.
Your Educator Account requires no payment and will expire on [approval date + 1 year].
Your Easel Pro Educator Account expired on [date]. To reapply for an Educator Account, please make a request on the Options tab.
Using Easel Pro for Educators
- Designing with Pro features in Easel is free, the limitation is simply with carving these features. Students do not need to apply for their individual Easel Pro subscriptions to use Easel Pro features in their designs.
- We recommend teachers create a single Easel Pro account that can be used to carve student projects with Easel Pro features.
- For this setup, each student can create their own free Easel account, design their projects, and then share them with their educator’s account for carving.
- To share a project, go to Project → Share → Unlisted, and then copy/paste the shown URL.
- For more information, please refer to Easel Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which outline Children's Privacy.
Student Accounts
- Easel Pro access is not currently available for individual student or district-wide use.
- We recommend students create their own free Easel accounts, which allow full design access to base features. Students can still use Pro tools within designs created in their educator’s account when shared for carving.
- When it’s time to carve, students can share their project with the educator’s Easel Pro account, which connects to the machine and completes the carve.
- For more details on sharing and collaboration, see Publishing and Sharing Projects in Easel
- Alternatively, a shared program or classroom Easel account may be created for educator use. This shared account can be approved for Easel Pro access as long as it meets the eligibility requirements listed above.
