If thinner parts of the design were either not cut or were skipped entirely, you'll need to check your bit.
Easel will only carve the parts of the design that are reachable by the current bit. If the bit is too large, the area will not show up in the Detailed Preview and will not be carved.
Note: You may also see "there is nothing to carve" error message when you have an incorrect bit selected.
You can fix this by:
- Making the design larger
- Select a detail bit
- Change the "Cut Type"
- Use single-stage carve, instead of two-stage carve (see example #2)

You can see this project has a roughing and detail bit. The error pops up when Easel Pro generates the toolpaths and can carve everything with the detail bit. However, the project doesn't need to be a two-stage carve because it can be accomplished with one bit.
To resolve this error message, use a single-stage carve with the detail bit.
If you need it to be a two-stage carve, for instance, you want to carve the rectangle out with the 1/8th you would separate the project into two workpieces.
Possible Causes
- The bit is too large relative to the design or parts of the design are too detailed.
- Incorrect Cut Type is being used.
